TPS-EDIT
The zebrafish (Danio rerio) has become a relevant vertebrate model for studying gene function.
We estimate that 82% of the genes involved in human diseases have an ortholog in zebrafish, making it a relevant species model for studying the molecular and cellular consequences of genetic modification.
TPS-EDIT has expertise in a range of genome-editing techniques, including gene knockout (KO), gene modification or insertion of fluorescent reporters (KI), CRISPANTS and Prime Editing. Thanks to its collaboration with the TACGENE platform, TPS-EDIT uses the latest genome-editing technologies to offer the technical solutions best suited to your project.
TPS-EDIT has a modern (2020) and spacious animal facility handled by TPS-AQUA, which is essential to the success of the projects that our users entrust to us. Once lines have been produced, we can offer customised phenotypic characterisation using the expertise of TPS-PHENO and TPS-INFO.

- The TPS-EDIT lines genetically edited by the CRISPR-Cas9 system, selecting the most innovative techniques.
Technological development of the TPS-EDIT team focuses on:
- refining genomic modifications: faithful reproduction of point mutations
- increasing the efficiency of KO and KI by CRISPR (reducing the rate of mosaicism in F0)
- developing genome editing by CRISPR/Cas9 in Xenopus.
TPS-EDIT regularly welcomes students (Bachelor or Master degrees, professional apprentices)
The TPS-EDIT team participates to “genome editing engineering” and “genotyping” working groups of CELPHEDIA
